Cleo

Cleo Hayes 24 September 1995
Her favorite place was the beach and some of my happiest moments were watching and playing with her at the beach. A gift I will always treasure.
Run. Splash. Roll. Smile.

Bikram Yoga makes me hot!

Life is good when others surprise you and you surprise yourself in good ways. You must seize those moments so good times continue.

Saturday I got on stage for 2 minutes 46 seconds with an audience and three judges to watch me practice seven Bikram Yoga poses. I did it with out falling out of any postures. I was proud of myself, I was worried my nerves were showing through my voice, but others said no. I must say it was more inspiring to watch everyone else; kids, men and other women.

So when the world seems like it is spinning in a sea of grey clouds the peace and heat of the yoga studio, strum of a guitar, letter in the mailbox, art in a gallery or a hug from a friend makes everything all right.

As Bikram says, "It's never too late, it's never too bad, and you're never too old or sick to start from scratch once again."

Good Design - Nature and Man Made

Saturday consisted finding good food and investigating a possible future home for my Airstream all powered by the love of good design.

The day started at Tower Grove Farmers Market, which is the perfect size. You don't get overwhelmed with choices and the selection is always good. This week I discovered blue plums. Not only did the taste lead me to purchase, the wonderful blue color caught me eye.

Next I headed south to Perryville, Missouri to the open house of Rocio Romero's prefab LV home. Good, simple, and affordable modern design. Maybe someday my Airstream can have a home in a LV Mini or LV Garage.

Another Cool Light Project

The Pulitzer Foundation, Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis, St. Louis Art Museum and Whit Flag Projects is putting on a light exhibit in conjunction with Dan Flavin's art at the Pulitzer.

Thursday I stopped by to take a closer look at the installation of the church roof, "Chorus", recreated by Rainer Kehres and Sebastian Hungerer of Germany.

This Thursday is the grand opening and it is sure to be a sight!
